A good friend came to me and asked if I would be willing to construct a 10-Frame Langstroth Beehive for him. I looked at the plans and as woodworking goes, it doesn't appear to be to difficult. But I would feel better if I knew the purpose of all the sections and how they work together. Can someone suggest a good starting point for reading about this and other things a beginner needs to know before diving into it?
Thanks...

Try the following link: http://maarec.cas.psu.edu/bkCD/equipment/hive_equip.htm
The MARREC has much info about beekeeping. You might build a hive for yourself at the same time.
Note: for simplicity, I use all medium sized supers. One setup on the tablesaw, one frame size. Keep it simple.
