I was wondering who would be a good source for cordovan italians in the GA area... any ideas? also, when is usually the cutoff for ordering package bees for the next season?
I bought cordovan queens from McCary and liked the price, service and queens. Bill, on the other hand, tried to get packages and between the weather and whatever else was not that happy with McCary. I was getting them in the summer when there wasn't any demand, though.
I've ordered package bees in February, but if they let you, I'd order in January or earlier. Most won't take orders too early.
Don't place your order in early January, you will NEVER see them.

what's the contact info for McCary? What's the best time to get packages anywho? Feb? Mar?
>what's the contact info for McCary?
Go to www.beesource.com choose "Bees & Supplies" from the left margin. Under "Queens and Packaged Bees" pick "United States". Now you can either do a "Edit Find" on McCary or you can go down the page to Mississsippi. You will find:
P.O. Box 87
Buckatunna, MS. 39322
Call after 5 p.m.
But they are Cordovan Itialians.

No one will ship them here before April, but ya'll are down south of us and they might ship them in March but I really don't know.
