After 22 days from hiving 2 packages I have new bees!!!!! one hive has increased by more then
one frame, the weaker hive by almost one frame.
I'm very exited.....when should I put a new brood box on top.

When opening the first hive, no gloves no Vail, and seen the Queen at the second frame, the other
hive, have seen the Queen at the first frame......man, I feel so goood, I feel like a Pro.

Add second brood chamber when colony has 7 frames of brood out of 9 frames of bees.

Just keep feeding 1-1 syrup and put a pollen pattie on the hive, and in a couple weeks you might be able to get a divide or 2.You can add another brood box when ever, but its not going to speed up things.

sounds like you are hooked and well on your way to a good honey crop. One thing you will want to do is use a veil I know it is easy now but.Sooner or later you will do something to upset the hive a bit and stings to the face are no fun.

Konrad...great news! I will do my weekly inspection this weekend. I saw last weekend that I had quite a bit of capped brood so I hope to see the same results as you.
