    Hello all!

I have a question for you all. I would like to know more about the certain nector flows in my area (south west washington) but have no idea how to go about it. I would like factual information rathen then asking beekeepers in my local area because I am getting different responces and I am not sure who to listen too.

Is there a book that people use on flowers, etc to help them find out when the nector flow is?

i bought that humongous book "The Hive and the Honey Bee" and it has a chapter devoted to nectar flows in different regions of the country. they break it down in tables and there are some suprising nectar producing plants in there, sumac for one. i bought my copy on line from dadant and sons.

there is only one main flow in Western Wa and it is Blackberries. There are minor regional flows in areas based on specific agriculture crops etc. The Blackberries are ususally over in early July. right now my bees are hitting the clover hard.
