I have 2 hives beside each other. They seem to know which is theirs. Is this a problem with confusion amonth the bees or is it ok to continue to ad more hives in the same area. I have alot of farms in close proximity to the hives and their are many flowers around me.

Hello Paul,
Just try not to put the colonies in a straight line-drifting will take place and the first colony will just get bigger (this can also cause diseases to spread). Yes the guard bees WILL let in other workers when they are full of nectar or pollen and want to give us free food (like in a full nectar flow). You can put your bees in circles around a tree for example. Paint hives different colors (or just the fronts), etc.
