This was a hive box that was given to me, and without any history. when i opened the hive, there was a dark comb on the bottom board, 4-inchs long, and 2-inches wide. the comb was not capped, and the cells looked large. What do you think? should i scrape it away, or jist leave it?

It is most likely just some old drone burr comb that was built off of the bottom of a frame. I personally would remove it, but it probably doesnt matter.

I'd scape it off. As he said, it's old drone comb.
