What costs need to be considered when first starting up? What was the initial outlay to start up? What are your expenses for a year after that?

I just got into bee keeping and my cost so far has been about $300 for 1 hive. The bees were $40 for 6 frames of bees and brood. I put this into a deep hive body and had 10 frames of brood and honey(not for me) in 3 weeks.
For $300 I got veils, gloves, helmets for my wife and myself, hive body, 30 deep frames, 2 med supers, 20 med frames, telescoping cover, bottomboard, queen excl., hive tools, 4x7 smoker, alot of foundation, and alot of happy bees.
I wish you luck and hope you enjoy your bees.
