Took 4 supers last week and went back to take the remainder. As I checked the boxes, they felt light and when I checked frames I found them full but uncapped. They're usually all capped by this time of year. It's been really humid, though, and I'm wondering if that's the reason for it. How much longer before they cap this batch?

If the frames are light but full your moisture content is likely too high and the bees need to reduce it. They will not cap the honey until that is completed. In humid weather it is sometime a difficult task and takes a little longer. They will do it, in there own good time. If you just can't wait you can check the moiture as described in a recent thread and extract the honey uncapped if the moiture content is low enough.

I'm in no rush; was just wondering when I should make the drive back to the strawberry fields. At 80-90 degrees and 80-90% humidity, I figured that might be the problem. Guess I'll just check again in a week.
