    What sugar syrop ratio do you use in a "derth period" or when there is nothing for them to forage on! In another two to three weeks the main honey flow will be here.

    Well I think it depends on your goals. But if you want to increase the number of bees for when the dearth lifts, then I would use 1:1 syrup. If you just want to give them enough to survive the dearth with something left over when its over then 2:1.

    I am not going to feed during the dearth, my bees have collected enough on their own, and have stored a ton of it above the brood nest anyway.
