Whats my odds?

2 hives,one 10" brood box each.started this spring.full of honey& brood. supers been on 3 months nothing in them. can i get thru winter?

welllll..that all depends,how good is your queen?,is it gonna be a bad winter?,will you have intervals where it's warmer and you can feed them?, will they get nosema?, mites?,it all depends on lots of stuff.sometimes they die for no obvious reason,other hives hang on when you don't expect them to make it.

What happened to the hives? Neither made ANY honey? I've never raised bees in WV but I'm guessing that one deep probably would get you by for the winter (It wouldn't here). But what worries me is that they didn't do more than that. Are there plenty of bees? Something seems to be wrong.

I would pull the empties off. If in doubt you can combine them now and split in the spring.
