combining a laying worker hive?

I have a laying worker hive, has anyone tried to use the newspaper method of hive combing with a queenright hive to get rid of the laying worker?
I think it should work, when done with 2 queenright hives the better queen wins and all are saved! I'd hate to try it and be wrong(I'd loss 2 hives)!
Anyone out there tried this possible solution?

I've seen it succeed and I've heard of it failing. You pay your money and you take your chances.

I think that this will work but don't forget that you may end up with alot of drone brood from a laying worker. You may want to freeze/remove the frames of eggs that were layed.

I have not heard of the term "queenright" over here

"Queenright" means it has a good strong laying queen. It means that in regards to a queen, all is right.
