    Question

I am feeding GLobal Patties (2 per hive) and I have also put on Miller style top feeders with 1:1 syrup in them. It seems that the bees are really working the patties, but have not touched the syrup. Is this normal and why?
If you see me runnin' you'd better keep up!

The patties are in contact with the cluster, while the syrup is not?

Hive top feeders for cold late winter / early spring feeding don't work well.
The temps allow the cluster to work the patties as a group, while they must move to the feeder as individuals. They will not do this until it warms up.
