Just starting out. Pick up bees on 20 April. I've put together all my frames and have embedded 4.9 foundation on my 10 hive frames. My reading suggests that I not add any supers until after 5 weeks. Would it be better to wait to put the foundation on my frames and leave it flat and wrapped or will the foundation store just as well embedded on the frames? I have plenty of time now but don't want to get too anxious.

Pete: the foundation will be fine installed; don't lay the frames on their side, set the frames in the empty hive. Your second brood box, placed on the hive after installing the bees, can be used to hold anything you plan to feed . Good luck with the package. Roy
