should i drill 5/8 holes in my honey supers? I have drilled a hole in the upper deep and was wondering if holes in the supers could be used as a speedy entrance or would this promote robbing?

Xen, On Jun 27 there was a post on this subject. Do a search and list "Holes" by subject/Topic and it will come up. It was listed in Beekeeping 101. The discussion was based on the pro/con, and you can read alot of comments and useful info.

Hope this helps. To answer your question, yes and yes. (But I will say that robbing from an additional 5/8 hole means you have bigger problems to worry about.)

I think Bjorn has the best system to do this if you like the idea.
