how important is increasing the ventilation capabilities of a hive during nectar flow for increased honey production? in other words drilling holes in honey supers and modifying the cover to increase airflow?

any thoughts would be greately appreciated...

I don't know about importance to flow, but I recently made my first boxes, the measurements came in a bit tight and I think I am noticing some of the foundation sagging under the heat because of it. I'm going to watch it a little longer and if it continues, probably build new boxes and transfer the frames over.

A lot of evaporation has to take place during a flow and convection ventilation seems to make a big difference on that.
