I need about 100 sheets of plain 8.5inch foundation, and I am pretty broke and really hope to find a low price on it. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot! Paul.

    Hi,

Have you considered using starter strips instead of full sheets of foundation. What not buy only 1/4 the amount of foundation and cut into inch and a half strips with a pizza cutter. The bees will draw the combs out. You will have to be carefull on handling them for a season or so till they get older and harden to prevent breakage. But this will save $$$.

    regards,

    Clay

I have had good luck with starter strips. Also if you have some wax around, you can take a piece of masonite that is smooth on both sides and dip it in water and then beeswax and peel off the sheets (one on each side) and use it as full sheets or cut it into starter strips. They bees will make whatever size cells they wish.
