Re: Questions about regular sweet clover

If you plant sweet clover, I would suggest you mix white blossom sweet and yellow blossom sweet about 50-50. The white blossom is about 2 weeks later to bloom than the yellow giving you nearly twice...

  7. Re: bees wax sheets for candle making versus foundation sheets

We use both to make rolled candles. I think back in the day, AI Root sold dyed sheets and foundation both for candles.

    Re: Honey bottler

I have the small Maxant (15 Gal.?). Have used it for 3-4 years. LOVE it. I keep the temp about 110 while bottling but unplug it when not bottling.

Re: Is 118 degree F honey still "raw"??

In my opinion, the only raw honey is that in the comb. If it is sold any other way, it has been "processed" some way or another. When a customer asks us if our honey is raw, we describe how we...

Re: aid for using on metal taper candle molds

No need to use mold sealer. Just set mold on damp sponge. The tips of the molds will be damp and cool and the wax will harden before it runs out of the wick hole.

    Re: tapers

We sell 6" for $2, 8" for $2.50, 10" for $3, and 12" for $3.50. These are poured and sold as singles and unpackaged. Dipped pairs are higher.

    Re: Wholesale Taper Prices

We sell ours at $3.50 each retail. This is 100% beeswax. Sounds like they were underpriced if pure beeswax.
