  1. Re: Extractor-less honey by- "Honey Flow" - Flow Hive

You, as the highest poster on this thread should be aware of all of the perceived weaknesses.

I have not read every post, but unlike yourself, I don't believe that there will be any commercial...
  2. Re: Extractor-less honey by- "Honey Flow" - Flow Hive

I would like to see closeup photos or a video of the cranking device and what it is inserted into.

I wonder if the Honey Flow Frames can be repurposed? Perhaps we'll be seeing a really neat video...

    Re: Melting wax in crockpot?

A rice cooker works very well. Without water!

    Heats (and reheats) quickly.

    And it's easy to clean.

  8. Re: Maxant 3100-H (hand crank model)... Should I order?

If getting the powered model is out of the question for this year I'd just crush and strain and put the extractor purchase on hold.

The extractor you're looking at is not easy to crank. A lot of...
  9. Re: Two thoughts from a non-TBH owner on how to add complications to your life...

An awful lot of top bar hive owners seem to have issues with moisture.
  10. Two thoughts from a non-TBH owner on how to add complications to your life...

I have never had a TBH but if I would one day, there are two things that I would consider doing.

The first idea would add complications to the building of the hive and its support / stand. What I...

    Re: Queen rearing calendar Generator

I submitted a "comment" on April 30th and received a reply that basically said that if you know the exact age of the larvae the calendar is very accurate, mentioning that professional queen breeders...

Why aren't Cloake Boards more popular?

In addition to a hobbyist doing splits or having a Queen Castle for taking advantage of frames with q-cells it seems that a Cloake Board would be an excellent tool for getting some nice queen cells. ...

"Save money" and buy the powered model. Your friends, family, and shoulder/arm joints will be thankful!
  15. Re: 5-frame medium(s) over Cloake Board.....?

  18. 5-frame medium(s) over Cloake Board.....?

So you pulled the cork and placed the cage between frame?
