Re: A Frenzy at the Entrance

The swarms I have seen look like small cyclones that get bigger and bigger then really big and then move off.

The "law" in question requires that if honey is packaged/processed it must be done in a inspected/licensed facility. In Montana different counties have viewed and interpreted the law differently...

11 frames in 10 frame box

I'm very intrigued by the smaller spacing of putting 11 frames in a 10 frame box ( or 9 in a 8 for that matter) and have some questions.

Can a person take frames that have brood or are already...

Re: can you catch a swarm in the rain?

It seems kind of dumb now but last year while attempting to catch a swarm I learned the very valuable lesson that wet leather gloves do not stop bees from stinging you hands! Got stung about 10-15...

    Installing nuc in a deadout.

I need some advice on intruding a nuc in a hive that died over the winter.
It is a double deep. The bottom is clean, dry and the top has approximately 40 pounds of honey left in it.
    Should I...

  24. Re: Long term engine preservation winter and fuel stabilizer question

    One thing to remember.
