    JSL I don't understand what you mean by there isn't enough room for mice? Please explain. I had them chew through wooden bottom boards when they got a little punky from rot.

    I have repaired many non structural wood items with a similar substance. That said, I found a cheaper solution. I buy fiberglass resin by the gallon (it takes a hardener also, usually comes with it)....

    I think best option to not lose the brood is to use a queen excluder between boxes I have a second box on them. The frames I have in are wood with plastic foundation. Cell size I am not sure of.
