    If there was such of bee as moon beam

    Most flowers are in sink with the day light, the rise and setting of the sun. And temperature.

    I set bees in on 50 acres of yellow neck squash in mid June....

    Wintered Mini Nuc feeding on dry sugar placed on top just above cluster notice the condensation, this enables bees to take up the sugar also helps with keeping the nuc a little dryer.

    Marshmasterpat-I have used 1- cup bees in the bee works mini nuc it works but a 1 1\2 cups I liked better.

    On the 4 frame 1/2 length medium.
    I use 3 cups bees.

    I will shake bees and run them...

    My first 1/2 length frame mn were 5 frames then I went to 4 frames I like them better because they set just perfect on a block and I can use a 1 piece top with out having any seams from using a 2...

    Some bees do drown, from just 5 or 10 bees to maybe 40 or 50. I designed them to place...

    When the hair on the bee gets worn off they are all black underneath. That black bee looks old and I figure it's worn off its hair. If it were a truly black bee it would be a fuzzy look but black.

    If the queen is still in the nuc.
    Take your hive tool a knock off the capping on 1 frame of the drone brood that the workers had layer so they can clean out the combs make way for the queen to lay....

    When a Drone hooks up to the queen
    And is mating it only Last a few seconds

    Something like 3 or 4 seconds it's over there is a pop as he disconnect an the drone falls.

    use a new built comb on plasticell that has not had any brood in them, and use a hive tool to scrape it down. think there is one on my u-tube

    They will go on mating flight from 5-7 days from hatching if weather permits, then in 3 to 4 days she starts to lay after being mated, have seen them laying as early as 9 day's after Hatching to 14...

    I had more swarms go into hives with old dark brood combs.
    Never have had one go into one with foundation.

    I would get some 5 frame deep nuc boxes put a couple of empty dark brood combs in them...

    I like it used it for years.
    They don't build it as fast as wax foundation

    It produces straight durable combs

    I have also noticed the wild colonies do not have drones as early as a man kept hive it may be 2 to 4 weeks later
