Thanks everyone! I will check the hive I thought was Queenless today. Last week there was still a lot of capped brood but no larva or eggs. If there is still no eggs a will add the nuc.

I allways have a upper enterance/ventilation slot. I think it helps them regulate the temp as well as get rid of excess moisture.
Is it safe to use borax around hives to discourage ants?
