I use a 5 gallon bucket to trace out the circle. Than I take a long piece of the wire an sow the cone on. Hope this helps.

I second what Wolfer said. I also have the IPK beetle trap bottom boards on all my hives. They take care of SHB as well as mites.

I like Amdro. It works great. Gets rid of ants fast.

Do you have another hive you could rob from? When in doubt...add a frame of eggs. If they are queen less they can make a new one.
