Re: Comb in the way of OAV

Put on a slatted rack. You will never have this problem again. All my hives have slatted racks. I have more than enough room to slide the vaporizer in and out.
  3. Re: Treated with MAQS, mite count still high, now what?

I'm having the same problem with my pads too. I started mite treatments in June. One more treatment in mid August. My mite count was still to high. I wonder if the company cut back on the strength of...

    Re: OAV crack pipe method

Its cheaper to buy a vaporizer. 165 dollars for vaporizer, 15 dollars for 5lbs of oxalic acid is pretty darn cheap way to treat for mites. Look what it cost to buy a 5 frame nuc. One year a...

    Re: Neighbor complaint

Don’t kiss up to any neighbor. Try to reason with them. If you live in an area with a lot of neighbors, your neighbors are going to win the battle. I would never put hives in a neighborhood with a...

You lived east of Syracuse NY. I lived here for 61 years. I just retired from the CSX railroad. Worked 40 years on the RR. At times I wonder if its worth living here with our short summer season.
