    Old comb questions

I've got about 20 frames of combs from a dead out last year. The moths got to the comb before I could do anything with it. Some of it is worse than others, but overall the combs don't look too bad....

On the contrary. Watching this show will enable me to point out the flaws they were showing when someone asks me what I think about AHB, and quote the show or other sources.

    Re: First Bee Sting

I read somewhere that if you can find a plantain leaf and chew on it then cover the sting with the wet leaves, it'd take the "sting" away. I dunno if stings just don't bother me that much, or if the...

Re: The current price of sugar.

In E. TN, yesterday I bought 4# bags for $1.89 store brand. The 25# bag was 5 or 6 cents more per pound.

4# bags make it easy. 2 4# bags per gallon of water for 1:1.

    Re: Hello from east tennessee

I wasn't actually a pilot in a blackhawk. I was a crewchief. However, I needed a screen name for my first message board which dealt with Honda Pilots. The 4-wheeled ATV variety made in 1989 and 1990...

Welcome to the site. I'm in Oak Ridge, and I just started this year, but I've been bitten by the bug bad! I've been relying heavily on an experienced beek from Oliver Springs.

    Re: Bees not taking syrup

Maybe invert the brood boxes? Get the cluster closer to the feed, and make them work across the new frames to get in and out of the hive.

    It might work?
