    I have a lot of mountain laurel down near the creek. ( a lot) it just sits there in bloom . Honey bees will not touch it. They just seem to know better. Bumble bees are a different story.

    Never use anything on the "sticky-board" that has a SCENT. It interferes with the communication pheremone in the brood boxes.

    The full screen IPM bottom is also for mites to drop and not be able to crawl back up into the hive. A lot of bees covering the brood is the best.

    The honey and Pollen in the comb is in good shape.
    I'm still not sure why they switched locations...
    Im going to give them a day or two before I open the Nuc...

    No Im not sure that the queen is with them.
    No there is no open brood in the comb.
    I want to watch and see if they are taking in pollen before I open the NUC and inspect. The honey...

    3rd year beekeeper here. I need advice

    I did a spring inspection last Sunday. over 70 F. I noticed a lot of SHB and smashed several.
    The colony was smaller than two weeks ago when I peeked in....

    American Holly honey
