Thanks Barry, I didn't know.
I couldn't see my groups screens, view what others could so I was left in the dark trying to sort through what is provided or explained and has been confusing and...

I sent nursebee an invite before I read your post. In her original posts she said she couldn't reply to the invitation and wanted the notification deleted. So I disinvited her to comply...
Why is my "join group" at the bottom rather than the top right as other groups are?
When I used your set up I chose "public group" and invited NC beekeepers to become members if they chose....
Now I am logged in and there is only contact info etc on the bottom.

Pending and invited members on the top bar when I am logged in. Only contact info, etc on the bottom when I am logged out.
Steve,
I can't see it, and I may not be crazy yet but I'm getting there. Here is what I'm seeing

Thanks Steve.
There is no "join group" on the NC beekeepers start up page. Barry, I am sending you an invite.
Barry,
Thanks for your reply. The settings are not working on NC Beekeepers, nor on sample groups.
I asked the forum admimistrator to please advise.
There is not a "join group" place on NC Beekeepers or Left of Center beekeepers group. Natural Beekeeping has "leave group" where "join group"...
I invited you to join the NC Beekeepers group. I don't know what the form looks like but there is a place where pending members can be disinvited. That may delete the notification but I'm not sure....
No, my husband is not ok with it. And neither am I.
I was contacted by a man who found me online through Beelinked, a NC Dept of Agriculture and NC State site that brings together growers who need crops pollinated and beekeepers. He called, wanted to...
I was told to rotate before the flow, but everytime I open the brood boxes there is burr comb between them with brood broken open all over. Should I just keep it as it is? I want a strong hive before...
Tulip poplar is the main flow in my area, goes from about the 25th of April to end of May.
What a great source. Thanks for sharing it.
We have no bears in the area and I have no experience with electric fences. Would like to keep critters (deer, groundhogs) out of the garden.
I had 3 hives going in, 0 hives died, Zip Code 27284
It's windy here but the bees are out. Bees are reported to be swarming too.
Wow! Fatbeeman's video is great! What a good idea, simple.
Anyone else used these?
Great pictures. Bees are swarming here in NC now too. I have a healthy hive I need to go into to check for swarm cells. Smart- clipping queens wings.
Sorry about your loss. I don't like mice either, in the house or in the hives.
I think the best way to catch a swarm is to set up a nuc beneath where you have the swarm, empty the bucket of bees you've shook gently onto the frames and put the top on. Any remaining bees scoop up...
Welcome!
I would call 911 first, if there was time. But of someone couldn't breathe and I had my pen, or they had their pen, I would use it. To heck with worry over the lawsuits.
