  1. How many deeps are used to over winter ?

I live in southern Missouri. How many deeps are used to over winter the bees? Is it bee population dependent?
  2. Which perrenials are you planting this fall?

I think the subject says it all. We have a small hobby farm of about 10 acres. I am especially interested in answers from southern Missouri. Thinking about getting ready for next year already!

    Re: Hive Top feeder recomendation.

Do you just poke holes in the top of the bag and lay it on the frames and then put the hive cover over it?

    Re: Bee Old Wive's Tales

Twice I've heard a story about how the "old timers" would stand underneath a swarm in a tree and beat a pot with a spoon to attract the swarm. I really don't understand how that works.
