    I have this extractor and it holds 9 medium frames but 6 radial and 3 tangent I just use 6 frames
    really like it it is small enough to move around and seams made well I have had it 2 seasons ...

    one of our club members says that you can take a frame of open brood throw a rope over branch raise frame of open brood to swarm and they will slowly move on to frame than you can slowly lower

    Texas does require a permit to remove bees from property other than your own it costs $35.00

    In my area East Texas Nacogdoches and surrounding area I charge $350.00 for removal up to 2 scaffold high no repair
    but as others have stated you dont always get the bees did 12 cut outs last year...

    09/21/11 small grapefruit size swarm in small tree cut branch but this jarred them into flight shook what was left into 5 frame medium nuc (used)with some drawn comb put box on top of ladder bees...

    if its not to hot (less than 90 ) and you have a screened bottom board probably will be OK
    i moves some today screened bottom board and #8 wire in entrance regular telescopic cover

    scratch caps then put in hive take out in couple of days
    problem with feding honey outside as others have stated is they go into a frenzy and tear up comb not so much in hive

    Link TommyT put up is what I do but I put slit 7/8" from edge 7/8" deep as I am not sure how i would cut in edge as was done in photo just not that caliber of a woodworker

    I also use the 20" wide aluminum flashing have had the 10 ft rolls come up short so get the 50' as shortage wont be as bad make mine like 23 7/8 " i think made a gauge for length then score and bend...
