  17. Re: Walter T. Kelley Purchased by Frandsen Corporation

One small thing they might have as an advantage is the fact that one of the "held" companies makes plastic parts. Besides frames, foundation, queen excluders, I think there are a few other pieces...
  18. Re: Walter T. Kelley Purchased by Frandsen Corporation

Hurrah for them...... I haven't purchased there in over twenty five years. It used to be the "go to place" in beekeeping when I started and "the Bee man" still had his foot on the pulse of the...

    Re: Intentional swarms

Would this question be couched with even one iota of an inkling that "feral" bees are somehow superior to those kept in a log that has been cut and painted? If so WHY? What would be the purpose of...
  23. Re: Nice video of a commercial extracting operation

Say what? Since the cells angle are generally laid out about 10-15 degrees towards the top bar side of the frame it would be a little disconcerting to have the centrifugal force of extraction...
  24. Is a queen really worth 3 times their weight than gold.

Shipping the last queens of the year today.

Doing so I just had to answer on of those questions that has been rattling around in my head for years.

How much does a queen weigh and what is ones...
  25. Re: Nice video of a commercial extracting operation
