    It's been cold, mine sets a couple feet from the fence about three feet off the ground. I didn't wrap or close up three side entrances and so far so good, fingers crossed.

    Anyone find any thing to put on the ground to combat them ? I tried cedar mulch and catnip, worked a a few days to a week and than I had them back. I heard "Cedarcide" worked, haven't tried it yet.

    I have some from B Weavers, I just line them up when I first go out to the hive and say "Hold it, there won't be none of that #*@$. Looked out today, and they're going strong, good working girls.

    I had vary few this year, usually catch them in a trap and pop them, ( have a real good Air Arms 200 Mark lll .22 ) then through them over the fence for my hawks to eat.

    Bees don't watch the calender, and can't read either, they do what they want, of course they've been doing it there way before we started messing with them.
