    Re: Oxalic Acid/Winter Bees

You mention dribble, then say OAV, which is it that you wish to do? If OAV, you should start a series of 3 treatments now. One every 5-7 days. Then a cleanup treatment somewhere between Thanksgiving...

Re: SHB, tell me this isn't

There are obviously some big professionals and some medium size beekeepers and many hobbyists. Does anyone have a clue how they are distributed in the states and where the bees are wintered or where...
  8. Re: Brushy Mountain Oxalic Acid Webinar - Randy Oliver

The issue is with OAD is that it's basically a one time shot and you must use other treatments. With OAV, while it is not well suited as of yet for commercial operations, you can safely use it...

Re: Oxalic Acid Vaporization - Questions and Answers

Sometimes you readily see them, other times not. It depends partially on humidity as to how they reform in the hive. The bees also do a very good job of removing them quickly. The crystals are gone...

Re: Oxalic acid use in Summer (August)

As stated below, you put the OA crystals in the vaporizer (no mixing with anything). One gram (1/4 teaspoon) per brood chamber. As most have two brood chambers, you'd use 1/2 a teaspoonful.
