    Re: Wax Rendering

The guys in Dixon Ne charge about 50 cents per pound. I would cry if someone took half. Then Dadant picks it up on trade for 50 cents more over their cash price, so it's a wash.

One of my beekeeper friends tells me that this product is now called apicare. I can't find it online, just the cosmetic product. Either way the guy I know that is using it claims his bees look great.

    Re: Sugar vs HFCS

Liquid sucrose off the truck weighs 11 lbs per gallon vs 11 1/2 per gallon for hfcs. One has to calculate that into the price. To me that's like just watering the hfcs down more...

Cook n Beals make 3 different models of drum pullers. It may be easier to order one rather than make one.
  16. Re: Cowen 60 Sump In floor or On floor Opinions needed

They make an auger system for those that pulls honey from the uncapper and from the extractor so an above ground sump would be better. Ask Cowen!!!

  23. Re: Almond Pollination: Would you say there is a legitimate shortage of bees?

What ever the reason, it is good for business when bees die. It creates a higher value for bees all the way around. I don't wish it on anyone though, especially myself!!
