    There are different types of privet the variety you find mostly in GA makes good honey. (sorry can't remember name off hand)

    if you can do it all a night just load them up. I normal just go in late in the evening smoke them a little if any are hanging around out front then staple with wire screen. Get up the next morning...

    You could spot spray the bad areas with Bifen (some spray whole yard)...if no clover or weed is bloomed in your grass you should not have an issue with bees.
