I only have 5 hives, but I put my still camera in video mode and record my inspections for transcribing later. It is nice to record what you see while inspecting.

Perhaps you might start feeding them 1:1 syrup to help them build up enough to want to swarm ? But that would not guarantee that you would be the one who would catch them.
