    Re: fire ant control

I use Tallstar in my out yards. I use a a little push spreader and it last for 2-3 months. I put down about 3-4 foot barrier all around my hives. I also use it in my yard, I have to apply 3-4 times a...

Re: Oxalic acid vapor vs Thymol

Johno, last post didn't get posted so I'll post again. You're doing great to get it done in 4 mins. My vaporizer takes 3 mins to burn off. I leave it in the hive for another 5 sealed up. I take it...

Re: Oxalic acid vapor vs Thymol

Paulemar, when I stated "Brand Name" I meant the treatments that the supply houses sell where the main ingredient is Thymol. I've already treated with OAV with good results, this last month, 3 times...

Re: Oxalic acid vapor vs Thymol

I've considered the dribble method but it sounds like it's a lot harder on the bees. I think I would go to multiple vaporizers before I would go dribble.

    Oxalic acid vapor vs Thymol

I've been using Oxalic vapor treatment for mites with good results. I'm increasing the amount of hives I have and it's becoming time consuming. I've been reading about Thymol and was wondering what...

Odfrank thank you for your reply. I don't think that is the case though. I'm pretty sure that these frames turned black in a months time. In the same box I have frames that are almost white. They are...
