    Re: Nuc yard.

I see the problem. Improper use of a gargoyle. It belongs in a high vantage point. Cant protect anything setting on the ground.

    Re: Frustrations

Al beekeeping is local. Shake some bees in a tub like they use for bussing tables at a restaurant and then pour them into a jar.

Re: Bees and Spraying Fruit Trees?

10 miles away is far enough. President of our bee club list several hives due to a neighbor spraying while blooming. Run away.
  7. Re: What happens when you ask your 11 year old daughter to "paint" hive bodies

Your bees will never have trouble finding home.
  8. Re: Offered an neglected hive - owner wants it gone ASAP. Safe to move ?

Wide strips of plywood on each side full height. Use ratchet straps to hold it around.

    Re: Constant Superseding

Could the queens be killed by laying workers and the nurse bees just start anew from what eggs are laid instead of a supercedure?

    Re: Shipping Packages..

Screen on the top is a bad idea. Someone will set a box on top covering the screen and dead bees.

I was considering using a double screen to keep them separated for several days hoping the queens scents from below might stop the laying workers. Otherwise I'm going to brush all the workers off...
