Be careful-Vitex seeds are usually not good. I have a vitex that is several years and makes lots of seeds and none have ever germinated.

If you have a Big Lots store in your area, they usually have the best price. Quart jars are the best buy for the price. Pints do not cost half of the price of a quart jar.
I use as regular strainer lined with a nylon paint strainer. You can buy these at just about any paint store. They are excellent and are re-usable.
I am in Central Louisiana and wonder what winter losses some of you are getting.
I buy quart jars from Big Lots. They usually have the best price, but if you watch Walmart, they will usually sell them at a lower price at the end of the season. Big Lots had them for $7.50 a case...
I have ordered a pair of pants and sent money. Then I ordered a complete suit and paid by paypal and have received nothing. It has been almost a year pertaining to the pants and more than a month...

Hi,
I am from Louisiana. Your animals will be no trouble to the bees. They don't like horses for some reason, but seem to be fine with the others. They will attack dogs if they get too close to...
Does anyone have experience with the use of the Cyclone shown in Bee Culture this month? It sounds too good to be true that it is a cure all?
I will never use that cr__ again. It is too much of a pain with having to have a spacer in place and the killing of bees is something I don't need.
If you advertise just a little, you will never have to worry about surplus honey. Go to restaurants, bakeries, and catering places. They are excellent customers. I also go to the local farmers'...
I would nlike to purchase a used golden bee suit, size medium. I'm sure there is someone out there who bought one and no longer works with bees.

I've never moved hives with open entrances. It is so easy to close them by stapling window screes across the entrance and strapping the hive together. Whether you move them by day or night, the...
Many thanks for the great advice

I would like to use Mite Away II this spring, but their instructions require that the honey supers get left off for 21 days. Isn't that very long to leave them off during a time when they are really...
I understand that Brugmansia produces toxic pollen and nectar.
Hi-welcome from Louisiana-land of the bayous and crooked politicians. Our bees are mostly Italian with a Cajun French accent. Have fun with the bees-learn from them.

I have had some strange uses for honey voiced to me by my customers, but the one of today took the cake. He said that he was going to eat the local honey because he had been told that it would cure...
I have been using the 25 drops of Eucalyptus oil in 1 pint of mineral oil for small hive beetle and have not met with much success. Has anyone else tried it with better results. I am spraying it on...
What is BT?
I have two hives that had lots of honey, but all of the bees are dead. Some of them are stuck in the comb, but dead. No sign of wax moths, hive beetles. Suggestions?
What is the recipe for using oxalic acid?
I need a source for lecithin granules, lemongrass oil and spearmint oil.
