  2. Michigan Bee Keepers - Too late to do a split?

I'd like to do a split but have no experience. For something that everyone says is easy, trepidation sure has set in me.

I will feed feed feed after the split, but am I too late to do it in Mid...

    I did.
Mistakes happen, but I wanted to give the manager a chance to explain/apologize. He did not do well at either.

I think she should be out of the cage by now.

Did your queen cage come with a cork or a piece of candy? If corked, did you remember to pull it and stick in a marshmallow or some sort of candy?...

Re: Oh no! My bees survived the Winter! What now?

I flipped one of mine today. The Top box was full of bees, some brood, some honey and pollen.

The bottom had mostly empty comb with a few frames toward the edges harboring honey stores.

    I took...

Oh no! My bees survived the Winter! What now?

    Well, This is cool.

How important is it to rotate my two deeps?

I know about a wild colony in a nearby oak tree and I don't think their combs have ever been rotated. :)

    Is this just a swarm...

    Trying a 5 frame hive
