  1. Re: OA vaporizer - dedicated battery or the one in the truck?

Thanks drlonzo. My charger has a couple different 12 volt charge modes. It also has a 12 volt engine start mode and that is the one at 55 amps. Which mode would be best? Charge or start?
  2. Re: OA vaporizer - dedicated battery or the one in the truck?

How much did the battery pack cost?
  3. Re: OA vaporizer - dedicated battery or the one in the truck?

I have a charger that runs 55 amp. But a auto battery is typically 700-900 amps.

Just curious if I can attach a JB200 style vaporizer directly to the battery in my truck or if a dedicated battery is needed? I only have a few hives and don't want to spend another $100 plus for a...

    Re: fall feeding ?

Stoney, use white vinegar - not Apple cider. It will help retard any mold growth. It will also change the pH of the syrup and the bees will like it better.

Are you in a dearth right now? Will you have a fall flow? Curious why you are feeding now? Honest question. Not a criticism.

  12. Re: Best start time for an OA vaporization series?

Good point about most of the bees being in the hive. So that means NOT during the day and good weather. Night time is out I assume. So daytime with bad weather???

I want to add an upper entrance to a super already on the hive by drilling a 1" hole with a Forster bit right below the handle. Bad idea?
