    i usually wear a veil, t shirt and jeans.... if they are cranky i have a ventilated jacket i got from mannlake not cheap ($140) but awesome jacket...

    One thing I would like to know is if cedar is ok.... I have a ton of it from when i cleared part of my property.... Will the bees mind the smell? Would it affect the honey?

    if it is free it will work perfect.... I make mine out of what ever free scraps I can I have pine, oak, maple,apple, and birch hive bodies all free:banana:

    i agree no gloves are the best but i HATE finger stings so I stick with nitrile...... best alternative for me....usually no veil but still wear the gloves

    5 mil i believe they are quite thin and like $7 at harbor freight you can get up to 9 mil i believe but 5 suits me fine

    All i use is nitrile gloves,inespensive and effective, it seems like the bees do not like to crawl on the nitrile as i usually never see bees on my hands
