Re: Types of hive stands - ideas

I was hoping it was something cheaper. Those jacks are expensive. I got ant problems bad and my hives are on a hill so I need something that I can make a grease cup and have some leveling adjustment.

Bottom line can I reuse the equipment if I paint over the outside and torch the inside and throw away the frames and comb or do I just need to toss all the equipment

I have some equipment that a hive had nosema.it has been outside in the freezing weather for a year. Do i need to do anything to it or should the spores have died by now.
  5. Re: Drawn comb with moldy pollen, Can I use it?

The frames have already been outside in the freezing temps exposed this winter so I figure that is enough freezing to kill any bugs.

This is a frame from a dead out. The pollen has gotten moldy. Can I still use it this year or should I toss it?

Re: Is this warped foundation ruined

To dispel any eye sight issues or flux capacity issues, the foundation was correct for the frame. The frame was the cleat type on the top bar with an opening on the bottom bar so the longer...

Re: Wax moth frame cleanup ideas

Thanks, not sure how to do that this time of year. I think I'll just knock out the comb and scrape em down, take out the top bar cleat and prepare them for foundationless in the spring.
