    It begins.

    Swarm today! Went home for lunch, just in time to catch my first swarm of the season taking off. They settled in a tree about 20' away from the hives. Going to try and capture them after work.

    Sounds like your bees have backfilled the brood nest, an indication of swarm prep. When you removed those queen cells were they capped? Picture 1 in your post looks like a small after swarm.
