    I have a mix of migratory hive top feeders and telescoping. Mostly migratory tops; I like drilling holes and stapling mesh over the hole. Especially in the entrance of the hive tops.

    I put them in on whatever side of the hive the widnd doesn't hit. I've not had problems with rain. As long as it is on the non-wind side.

    Moisture control/prevention. Quit boxes, Popsicle stick in top cover or anything to let the warm humid air escape. Cold don't kills our bees condensation killls.

    If they had eggs and young larvae don't worry about them for 14 days, then check them. Look for eggs and larvae then.

    So I was out checking the hives today and they are bringing in yellow pollen. What could be blooming right now? I have not seen any dandelions up yet! What else could it be?
