    No offense to anyone on the thread but screen bottom boards alone in most parts of the united states will not save your hives especially, for new beeks with a hive or two of commercial bee packages...

    Yes , freeman beetle traps are a Hive saver for small hive beetles.I hate them little suckers . They probably wont hurt your hive this winter , but come spring I would put some freeman bottom boards...

    No Razoo just use one or the other . The slide in board in the screen bottom board will be sufficient to seal it for winter IMO . The bee's heat the cluster not the hive , I use a freeman screened...

    We'll depending on how many hives you have I'd buy it clean it up throw epoxy paint on and spin some honey , you don't need an expensive extractor for a few hives
