  3. Re: Follower boards to reduce 10 frame hive

I have been doing the same thing! In fact, I just got 5 follower boards from Bee Kind in Sebastapol Ca, thinking I was getting division boards. I planned to use for both reasons, but I take it from...

When I read this yesterday, my thought also was swarm.
  8. Re: Roach Stations inside hive for SHB control.

Jredburn told me about using the political signs; I think what he does is cut squares, which then the bees chase beetles into. When you take them out, quickly put them in a bucket of water to drown...

Yesterday I removed a colony for the 3rd time at the home of an acquaintance. The first was 2 years ago. His house has a nice crawl space of about 3 feet so removals are not too difficult. The bees...

  16. Re: nytimes.com/sciencetake BEE MOVIE

Very cool site, it's going on my favorites list. And definitely thought provoking. Maybe only 20% because of the dangers of foraging, plus wear and tear on the bee as compared to inside work. Maybe...

Trap out from under a shed

The only reason I'm attempting this trap out is because it's the neighbor of my grandkids, and this backyard has a swing set where my grandkids and others play. I don't have much hope for success.
