    I think I fixed it, they were a package and I had done no treatment on it. They had had filled the top super above the queen excluser with honey so I added another one. And smoked the bees inside....

    I use deep boxes for honey supers and brood chambers so I just alternate frames into the honey super from the brood deep and put them back after a couple of days. It works well.

    I had a similar problem and I switched the location with a stronger hive and now they have eggs on every brood frame.

    You could either add another box on top with empty frames and let them draw it out or remove it if you want to stay with a single box. I would suggest putting the two frames in between the drawn ones...
