Not yet in the Fraser Valley, but we are feeding bothe paties and Caspian solution to keep pushing the bees to brood up and produce drones. We are raising queens and need fertile drones around.

    Re: Charging for honey extraction

This sounds like a few supers. To be blunt Canadians are being offered 1.10 or I even heard lee by American packers. It does not leave a lot if you are paying a dollar to have it extracted.

I think that is a very good idea Ben to put the money into the bees. They are the ones that generate the money. Also good to build bigger than you think you need. Imagine the most bees you'll ever...

  11. Re: Pollen Full frame sometime over half a deep in three box deep set.

Just wait. The bees always work it out. Eventually there is not so much pollen and you wish the bees had more.

  12. Re: What am I doing wrong? Bees won't move up.

Put the frames with foundation in positions 3,5 and 7 in the first medium. Pull those 3 frames of brood, from box no 2 and put them in postions 4, 5 and 6 in box no.3. That will do the trick....
