    Dead Bees

    Have been checking my hives here in Maryland this past week and already have 50% loss 1/2 with dead bees on bottom board and 1/2 with bees disappeared. Most are robbed out but some still have honey....

    Put the frame in hot water. Not so hot to damage the frame but hot enough to melt the wax....but why would you want to do this. It means nothing that your honey frames have some old dark brood comb...

    What strain to use for the tropics?

    I am planning on starting a beekeeping project in Haiti this fall. Anyone have a good idea as to the best strain of bee genetics to use in the tropics?

    push all 10 tight together and then after they have drawn out all the foundation, you can remove 1 frame and run 9 evenly spaced frames. This helps from crushing the bees when you inspect.

    Dipping in Copper 8-Quinolinolate
