Is it just the noise that bothers them or do they feel threatened. Can you put an entrance reducer on or close them up completley while you mow?

How close to the hives were you mowing? Is there a "safe" distance away from a hive you can mow without a problem.

My dad grows grapes for a local winery and he is thinking about getting some bees to help pollination. The winery guy told him they hate harvesting grapes when bees are around. He said they swarm...

If small cell bees are allowed to raise their own queen would this queen be smaller than “normal” queens. Or are all queens the same size regardless of the cell size the brood was raised in.

I have used a transformer from an electric train, I just put alligator clips on the leads. This worked great because of the variable power range.
